Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team and support a variety of electrical projects across commercial and industrial settings. This role requires a professional with strong technical expertise, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, and experience working with low voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, renovation, and industrial electrical systems, with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including lighting, wiring, outlets, and circuit breakers
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting
• Work with low voltage systems such as security alarms, data cabling, and communication networks
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair tasks
• Assist with renovation projects by updating or upgrading existing electrical infrastructure
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and diagnostic equipment
• Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems
• Collaborate with construction teams to ensure electrical work aligns with project specifications and safety standards
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential hazards or system failures

Requirements

• Proven experience as a commercial or industrial electrician with strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately
• Experience working with low voltage systems such as security or communication wiring
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely
• Background in construction or renovation projects involving electrical systems
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation controls is preferred
• Handyman experience is a plus for versatile troubleshooting skills
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations
