POLITICO Magazine seeks a senior staff writer to join our fast‑paced, competitive news environment. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding enterprise writing skills, an extensive knowledge of politics and policy, and enthusiasm for producing long‑form analytical journalism.

What You’ll Do

• Pitch, report, and write stories for the Magazine in a variety of lengths and styles, including cover‑story worthy profiles and pieces.
• Collaborate across departments and with colleagues throughout the POLITICO newsroom, including those abroad in Canada, Europe, and Australia.
• Help make POLITICO Magazine a must‑read product on both sides of the Atlantic.

What You’ll Need

• A talent for generating original ideas and constructing thoughtful narratives.
• Ideas, ideas, ideas. We are looking for writers who are full of interesting, actionable ideas and the sourcing to deliver them.
• A deep appreciation for good journalism and a refined sense of what makes a good magazine story work.
• A collaborative attitude and collegial spirit.
