Regional IT Manager (Washington, DC | Hybrid)

💰 $144,000 – $215,000 + Bonus

📍 Washington, DC (Primary/ Homebase) | Oversight: NY + California

🏢 Hybrid: 2–3 Days Onsite

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a globally recognized AmLaw-ranked law firm to identify a Regional IT Manager to lead IT support operations across multiple U.S. offices. This is a high-visibility leadership role within a sophisticated, client-facing environment, offering the opportunity to oversee regional IT operations, manage a strong technical team, and partner directly with office and firm leadership.

This individual will serve as the primary IT leader for a multi-office region, supporting approximately 400 users across Washington, DC (primary), New York, and California.

You will lead a team of ~12 IT professionals while remaining hands-on in technical operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery in a professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Regional IT Leadership

  • Own IT support operations across multiple offices
  • Act as the primary point of contact for office leadership and stakeholders
  • Drive service quality, responsiveness, and escalation management

Technical Oversight (Hands-On)

  • Maintain active involvement in day-to-day IT support
  • Oversee:
  • End-user environments (desktop/laptop)
  • AV & conferencing systems
  • Mobile devices and telephony (Cisco environment)
  • Office hardware and infrastructure
  • Support resolution of complex technical issues

Team Management

  • Lead and develop a team of ~12 IT professionals
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and hiring oversight
  • Ensure consistent service standards across offices

Projects & Operations

  • Lead key initiatives such as:
  • Office moves and renovations
  • Hardware refresh cycles
  • New hire onboarding processes
  • Partner with infrastructure teams on network, systems, and continuity planning

Vendor & Budget Ownership

  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement
  • Oversee operating and capital budgets for the region

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with:
  • Office leadership and administrative teams
  • Attorneys and business stakeholders
  • Centralized/global IT teams
  • Act as the bridge between local office needs and firmwide IT strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of IT management experience with direct team leadership
  • Experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience strongly preferred)
