QA Testing Engineer Role Overview

A QA Testing Engineer in our growing tech startup will ensure software quality by identifying bugs and verifying functionality in fast-paced development cycles. This role supports agile teams in delivering reliable a product to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

· Review system specifications and collaborate with developers to create test plans and cases.

· Execute manual and automated tests across system, integration, and regression levels, then analyze results.

· Log defects, report issues to the team, and assist in troubleshooting for quick resolutions.

· Conduct post-release testing and integrate QA into the agile lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Experience with testing tools, scripting (e.g., automation frameworks), and bug-tracking software.

· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross-functionally in a startup environment.

· Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; 1-3 years in QA, ideally in tech startups.

· Proven track record in ambiguous growth settings, optimizing for resources and time.

· Mentoring junior engineers on concepts like Simple Design and SOLID patterns

· Reviewing the code built by other team members and ensuring the standards and adhered and engineering team guiding principles are enforced
