As a Senior Industrial Engineer at our client's leading manufacturing firm, your role will be crucial in driving operations excellence initiatives. You will play a central part in enhancing productivity, optimizing workflows, and implementing lean manufacturing principles across production facilities. Your responsibilities will include analyzing complex operational data, identifying inefficiencies, and developing practical, data-driven solutions to improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and propose efficiency improvement solutions using industrial engineering methodologies.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing principles such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and 5S to reduce waste and enhance quality.
  • Design and optimize factory layouts, material flow, and production line balancing to maximize throughput and minimize costs.
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and quality in production.
  • Utilize simulation software and statistical tools to model, analyze, and predict the impact of process changes.
  • Collaborate with production, quality control, and engineering teams to implement process improvements and ensure successful adoption.
  • Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard times for operations and enhance labor productivity.
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards to monitor key operational indicators and track progress towards goals.
  • Train and mentor plant personnel on new processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve operational excellence targets.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering and manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing environments.
  • Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred), and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software, CAD tools, and statistical analysis software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and implement change management strategies.
  • Experience in capacity planning, production scheduling, and inventory management is a plus.
