Job Description

Our client, an esteemed educational institution in Baltimore, Maryland, US , is seeking a creative and experienced Curriculum Developer specializing in STEM subjects to join their dedicated team. This role is instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective educational programs that align with current academic standards and best practices. You will be responsible for creating lesson plans, instructional materials, assessments, and supporting resources for K-12 or higher education levels, depending on institutional needs. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in curriculum design, a deep understanding of STEM pedagogy, and a passion for fostering student learning and achievement. You should be adept at integrating technology into instruction and developing innovative teaching methodologies. This position requires close collaboration with educators, subject matter experts, and administrators to ensure the highest quality of educational content.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop comprehensive STEM curricula for specified grade levels or subject areas. Create engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, multimedia resources, and assessment tools. Ensure curriculum content is aligned with state and national educational standards. Collaborate with teachers and subject matter experts to gather input and feedback. Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies into curriculum design. Develop and administer assessments to measure student learning outcomes. Revise and update curriculum based on evaluation results and feedback. Provide professional development and training to educators on new curriculum implementation. Research current trends and best practices in STEM education. Manage curriculum development projects from inception to completion. Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a relevant STEM field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design. Proven expertise in STEM subjects and pedagogy. Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models. Experience with educational technology tools and learning management systems (LMS). Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in developing assessments and evaluating learning outcomes. Familiarity with Common Core or other relevant educational standards. Project management skills are a plus.
