Job Title: Senior Marketing Consultant

Location: Remote

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (UK Business Hours)

Note: This role is primarily focused on lead generation and conversion, with a strong emphasis on performance marketing. It is not a traditional marketing role, but one centred around driving qualified leads, improving conversion rates, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Role Overview

This is a performance-focused marketing role within a growing UK-based training and education business.

The position is not a traditional brand marketing role. Instead, it focuses on:

  • Generating high-quality employer leads
  • Supporting business growth through structured marketing activity
  • Improving conversion across the marketing and sales funnel

You will play a key role in building a scalable and data-driven marketing function, helping the business attract employers, promote funded training programmes, and improve overall marketing effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Define target audiences and ideal customer profiles
  • Develop and implement structured marketing plans aligned to business goals
  • Support the development of a scalable marketing approach

Campaign Management

  • Plan, launch, and optimise multi-channel campaigns
  • Monitor performance and adjust campaigns based on results
  • Ensure campaigns are delivered efficiently and effectively

Lead Generation & Performance Marketing

  • Drive lead generation through paid and organic channels
  • Improve lead quality and support conversion across the funnel
  • Work closely with internal teams to align marketing with sales outcomes

Website & Digital Optimisation

  • Support website improvements and user journey optimisation
  • Contribute to the development of landing pages and SEO initiatives
  • Help improve engagement, traffic quality, and enquiry rates

Content & Social Media

  • Support the planning and delivery of consistent content
  • Contribute to LinkedIn and other platform growth
  • Ensure messaging aligns with brand positioning

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track marketing performance and key metrics
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting
  • Provide regular insights to support decision-making

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams to improve processes and outcomes
  • Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Key Performance Indicators (Guideline-Based)

Success in this role will be measured through:

  • Consistent lead generation and improvement in lead quality
  • Positive movement in conversion rates across the funnel
  • Contribution to pipeline growth and business development
  • Improvements in website performance and engagement
  • Ongoing optimisation of campaigns and channels

Targets and KPIs will be agreed and reviewed regularly based on business needs.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience in digital marketing and campaign management
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and performance marketing
  • Experience working across multiple marketing channels
  • Knowledge of SEO, website optimisation, and landing pages
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse and improve performance
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Experience in B2B marketing
  • Experience within the education, training, or services sector
  • Experience working in a performance-driven environment

Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred)
  • Relevant certifications in digital marketing or analytics are advantageous
