Position Summary
Phreesia is seeking a Senior UX Designer with strong interaction design skills and deep expertise in Figma and design systems. You will lead UX for defined product areas while contributing to components, patterns, and workflows that strengthen our design system and improve cross-team efficiency. This role applies an AI-forward mindset to exploration, documentation, and rapid iteration across the design process.
Phreesia is a fully remote company; however, candidates located in ET and CT regions are given priority in the hiring process.
What you'll do
Product & Workflow Leadership
Lead UX for assigned product areas from discovery through delivery, defining interaction models and scalable workflows that support user and business goals.
Partner closely with product and engineering to refine requirements, evaluate feasibility, and guide high-quality implementation through each release.
Design System & Figma Expertise
Contribute and improve components and patterns for scalability; build structured Figma components and maintain efficient file organisation.
Audit product surfaces for gaps and propose system-level updates; partner with engineering to align design-system components with technical constraints.
AI-Enabled Design Practice
Use AI tools to accelerate concept exploration, research synthesis, and rapid prototyping to inform better product decisions.
Produce clear, AI-assisted documentation and guidelines that improve accessibility, adoption, and team-wide efficiency.
Research & Validation
Drive usability testing and concept evaluations to uncover actionable insights.
Translate findings into workflow and design-system improvements that enhance consistency and decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Deliver clear, detailed specifications that reduce ambiguity and enable reusable components.
Partner with engineering to resolve edge cases and refine component behaviour, while communicating design decisions with concise, outcome-focused rationale.
What you'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree and 5–7+ years of UX/UI product design experience in a B2B environment is required.
Proven delivery of end-to-end workflows and scalable design systems in production environments.
Hands-on experience using AI tools for design exploration, research synthesis, or documentation, show us how you've used them
Advanced Figma experience, including building complex components, variants, and interactive prototypes.
Strong engineering collaboration to ensure feasibility, edge-case resolution, and high-quality implementation.
Ability to travel periodically in the U.S. and within Canada for team collaboration, client engagements, and off-site sessions.
Healthcare and/or B2B2C industry experience, familiarity with accessibility requirements and how they apply to components and workflows are preferred
Solid interaction design and IA foundations.
Base Salary for Canada-based employees range from $120,000 - $135,000, dependent on qualifications. In addition, Phreesia offers a highly competitive and comprehensive Total Rewards package.
