In this role, you will lead the design and delivery of modern cloud data platforms and analytics solutions that help clients unlock and operationalize value from their data at scale. You will collaborate closely with enterprise clients, data engineering and analytics teams, cloud platform teams, and practice leadership to deliver high-quality solutions and advance phData’s delivery excellence.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Client Delivery</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Own and drive end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of modern cloud data and analytics solutions for enterprise customers across industries.</li> <li>Translate business requirements into technical and data platform solutions that align with phData methodologies, standards, and best practices.</li> <li>Ensure engagements are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value for clients.</li> <li>Architect secure, scalable, and high-performing data pipelines and integration patterns leveraging modern cloud data platforms and tooling.</li> <li>Guide implementation teams through design decisions, trade-offs, and best practices across the full solution lifecycle.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Collaboration &amp; Leadership</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional partners including data engineering, analytics, ML, cloud platform, sales, and PMO to deliver successful client engagements.</li> <li>Provide technical and strategic leadership during workshops, discovery sessions, design reviews, and project delivery.</li> <li>Ensure high quality in deliverables through architecture reviews, code reviews, documentation, testing, and governance.</li> <li>Partner with practice and account leaders to identify opportunities to expand engagements, improve delivery, and standardize reusable solution patterns.</li> <li>Support pre-sales activities such as scoping, solutioning, and presenting technical approaches to client stakeholders.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Practice &amp; Firm Contribution</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Contribute to internal initiatives such as IP development, accelerators, reference architectures, templates, playbooks, training, and mentoring.</li> <li>Represent phData with professionalism in all interactions, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li> <li>Share learnings and best practices across the organization to continuously improve delivery quality and efficiency.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Additional Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping roadmaps, influencing strategic decisions, and guiding long-term initiatives.</li> <li>Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of learning, feedback, and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Help define and refine practice standards, reusable assets, and delivery frameworks.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>About You</strong></h2> <p>You are a client-focused technical leader and trusted advisor who enjoys solving complex data problems and turning business requirements into scalable cloud data solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment, are comfortable operating in distributed, global teams, and take ownership for delivering high-quality results for your clients and colleagues.</p> <h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Experience</strong></h3> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in solutions architecture and/or data engineering, designing and implementing data solutions and modern cloud data platforms.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Technical / Functional Skills</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hands-on expertise with core cloud data platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.</li> <li>Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and/or Scala.</li> <li>Advanced SQL skills, including writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries.</li> <li>Experience with cloud and distributed data storage such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL storage systems.</li> <li>Experience with data integration technologies such as Spark, Kafka, event/streaming platforms, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS Data Migration Services, Azure Data Factory, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Google DataProc, or similar tools.</li> <li>Experience working with multiple data sources (e.g., queues, relational databases, files, search, APIs).</li> <li>Experience across the complete software development lifecycle including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.</li> <li>Experience with automated data transformation and curation using tools such as dbt, Spark, Spark Streaming, and automated data pipelines.</li> <li>Experience with workflow management and orchestration tools such as Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, Luigi, or NiFi.</li> <li>Experience developing detailed solution documentation, including POCs and roadmaps, sequence diagrams, class hierarchies, and logical system views.</li> <li>Ability to develop end-to-end technical solutions into production, ensuring performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Consulting / Delivery Skills (adjust as needed)</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Experience delivering projects for external or internal clients in a professional services or consulting environment.</li> <li>Ability to break down complex problems into structured, actionable steps and drive them through to completion.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to create and deliver detailed presentations for technical and business audiences.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Collaboration &amp; Ownership</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Proven track record of taking ownership, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.</li> <li>Experience leading teams and/or mentoring other engineers in a project or practice setting.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Education - If desired</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.</li> </ul> <p><br><br><br><br></p> <h2><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Experience in designing and operating large-scale data platforms and analytics solutions in complex enterprise environments.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with preferred tools, platforms, or methodologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, and Databricks.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with distributed storage and data integration/orchestration technologies such as S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch/Solr, Cassandra, Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS DMS, Azure Data Factory, IICS, Google DataProc, Airflow, AWS Managed Airflow, or comparable tools.</li> <li>Prior experience working in global or remote teams and partnering across US, LATAM, and/or India.</li> <li>Contributions to open source, technical communities, speaking, writing, or internal accelerators are a plus.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Location &amp;
