Noc Engineer Remote Chennai (India)

Providing technical Support (phone, chat, email) for software / hardware issues, diagnosing problems, guiding users through fixes, documenting tickets, escalating complex cases, ensuring satisfaction, and maintaining system knowledge, focusing on remote troubleshooting of OS (Windows/Mac/Linux), applications, networks (LAN/WAN), VPNs, and printers for end-users. Key requirements often include experience in Help Desk / Desktop Support, understanding of IT systems, solid communication, and ability to manage multiple issues with SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues

Proficiency in remote desktop applications, screen-sharing tools, and IT support software

In-depth knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux

Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and ticketing platforms

Solid understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewalls

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective user support

High level of patience and empathy when dealing with non-technical users

Ability to work independently, manage workload efficiently, and prioritize urgent issues

Experience documenting technical issues, solutions, and preventative measures

Key Requirements

Degree/diploma in Computer Science or equivalent as well as prior experience as a Remote support engineer

Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments

You have an advanced understanding of IT setup, hardware, and software

You have an exceptional aptitude for identifying and prioritizing IT issues

You possess extensive knowledge of handling IT issues for clients

You have proficiency in tracking performance indicators and documenting processes.

You are able to provide critical application feedback to IT developers

You have excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Need to work with Night shifts(US Times)
