Position Title: Environmental Monitoring Technician
Position Description:
The Environmental Monitoring Technician is primarily responsible for the routine monitoring, data collection, and analysis of environmental quality. The role ensures that environmental indicators—such as air, water, soil, and noise levels—comply with national and local environmental regulations, thereby providing a scientific basis for environmental protection, pollution control, and management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site sampling and monitoring of environmental elements (air, water quality, soil, noise, etc.) in accordance with the monitoring plan.
Operate and maintain environmental monitoring instruments and equipment to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Record, organize, and analyze monitoring data; prepare monitoring reports and technical documentation.
Promptly report environmental anomalies or pollution issues and assist in investigating their causes.
Support environmental inspections, law enforcement actions, and third-party testing activities.
Adhere to relevant safety protocols and environmental laws and regulations.
Participate in environmental awareness campaigns, training, or basic public outreach (as required by the organization).
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher; majors in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Public Health, or related fields are preferred.
