Cashier Gas Station Attendent

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant to provide excellent customer service at our convenience store and fueling station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring smooth operations at the pump and cashier station. Bilingual skills and familiarity with retail sales, POS systems, and basic merchandising are highly valued to enhance the customer experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently and safely
• Operate POS systems for cash handling, sales transactions, and receipts
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and upselling items when appropriate
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, fuel area, and surrounding premises
• Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure product displays are attractive and well-maintained
• Handle cash transactions accurately and manage phone inquiries professionally
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to management
• Follow safety procedures related to fuel handling and store operations
• Assist with promotional activities such as product demos or special sales events

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Bilingual abilities (English and additional languages) are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, basic math skills, and merchandising techniques is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, time management, organizational skills, phone etiquette, and the ability to upsell products are essential for success in this role
• Previous experience in technology sales or product demos is beneficial but not mandatory
