Safety and Compliance Manager in Metalworking

Manage and enhance safety programs for metalworking operations to ensure compliance and improve risk management. Utilize extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations to protect workers effectively.

This role encompasses overseeing training for hazardous equipment and ensuring adherence to the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs
• Train staff on certified equipment operations
• Conduct hazard assessments and regular inspections
• Provide comprehensive safety guidance and policy support
• Lead incident investigations to identify root causes

Requirements

• 5-10 years in health and safety within metal services
• Must be a Certified Trainer for relevant equipment
• In-depth knowledge of industrial safety hazards
• Certification in CRSP or similar is advantageous
• Strong communication and assessment skills
