Perk is a next-generation platform focused on removing friction from booking and managing business travel.As a Software Engineer, this role includes: Developing a travel-focused, web-based product using Python/Django and/or ReactBuilding and maintaining integrations between our platform and third-party APIsDesigning, implementing, and testing system architectureWorking in an Agile setup with a strong emphasis on well-documented code, unit tests, and continuous integration Required skills and experience: A strong “Product Engineering” mindsetPragmatism with a focus on simplicity, efficiency, and performanceSignificant experience in similar roles building technically complex products in any web programming language, primarily on the backendExpert-level experience in server-side, client-side, or full-stack development. Your specific role will be aligned with your strengths, and internal training will be providedA strong focus on quality and testingWillingness to learn new technologies and frameworksExcellent communication skills Bonus points for: Experience using AI-assisted coding tools during development, such as Copilot, Cline, or similarExperience creating AI-powered product features using AWS, GCP, or OpenAI platformsBackground in the travel industryDevOps experience within the AWS ecosystemExperience working in high-performing, Agile development teamsEnjoyment of building things (especially contributing to or maintaining open-source projects) What do we offer?
