Job Description
Support critical communications for deep space exploration in a hands-on technician role. Leverage your expertise in voice, data, and video systems while maintaining the infrastructure essential for NASA. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mission-critical communication systems at the Goldstone complex.
You will work with fiber optics, Cisco VoIP, and Motorola two-way radios. The necessity for physical endurance and technical proficiency in various systems is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain voice, data, and video systems
- Configure and support Cisco VoIP hardware and software
- Splice and maintain fiber optic cabling
- Implement engineering changes to operational equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks Requirements:
- BS 0-2 years or HS 6-8 years experience
- Knowledge of voice/data communications systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights up to 300 feet
