Product Designer (Desktop & Web)

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid/On-site)

Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a Product Designer to own the design of our native desktop and web applications. You will be responsible for the user journey, from the high-converting landing pages for our ad campaigns, to the account management systems for managing users and billing, and finally to the native desktop applications that power the workflows. You will be working directly with the developers and the support team to collect feedback and have the best designs implemented.

Responsibilities

• Desktop Redesign: Lead the visual and functional overhaul of our native Windows and macOS applications.
• Account UX Ownership: Own the end-to-end experience for the pdfpro.com account section. You will optimize flows including user onboarding, team seat management, and payment/subscription updates.
• Web & Marketing: Update and maintain the core pdfpro.com website. You will design high-converting landing pages for ad campaigns and craft engaging email marketing/newsletters for our existing customer base.
• Development Handoff: Build and maintain a robust Figma design system to ensure seamless handoffs to our engineering team.
• Future Innovation: Help us define the future of PDF Pro by exploring and designing potential new entries into Mobile and Linux environments.

Skills

• Platforms: Demonstrable understanding of desktop application interfaces (primary), and as well as web / mobile (secondary). Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Microsoft Fluent Design. You know how a "native" app should feel.
• Figma: Advanced proficiency in Figma (Auto-layout, Components, Variables, and Prototyping).
• UX/UI: A portfolio that shows both high-level system thinking (complex dashboards) and beautiful visual/marketing design (landing pages).
• Business Mindset: You design with conversion in mind. You understand how layout affects sign-ups and user retention.
• Self-Starter: You are comfortable "owning" the design function and collaborating directly with developers and stakeholders on a small team
• Ability to conduct usability studies and research on our typical audience as well as for specific industries is a plus.
