Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant / Medical Store Executive
Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-friendly Pharmacy Assistant / Medical Store Executive to manage the daily operations of our medical retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welcoming customers, accurately reading prescriptions, dispensing medicines, and managing stock inventory (purchase and sales records).
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service &
Dispensing:
Greet and assist customers with a helpful and polite attitude.
Accurately read and interpret doctors' handwritten or digital prescriptions.
Dispense the correct medicines and guide customers on basic dosage instructions.
Store &
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage the daily sales and purchase records of medicines.
Check stock levels daily and coordinate with distributors/vendors to place purchase orders.
Verify expiry dates of existing stock and handle the return of expired medicines.
Ensure the medical store is clean, organized, and medicines are systematically arranged.
Billing &
Cash Handling:
Handle daily cash and digital billing counters accurately.
Requirements &
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience working in a retail medical store or pharmacy is highly preferred. Freshers are also welcome.
Skills:
Strong ability to read and understand diverse medical prescriptions.
Sound knowledge of medicine names, generic substitutes, and general pharma products.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Basic math skills for handling bills and inventory counts.
Computer Skills (Plus Point):
* Basic knowledge of computer operations (using billing software, Excel, or managing digital inventory) is a major advantage.
Education: Minimum 12th pass (Science stream preferred) or a Diploma/Degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm / B.Pharm) is an added bonus.
