Role overview

The Pre-Sales & Solutions Engineer will be responsible for providing technical pre-sales support across Networking, IT Infrastructure, Video Surveillance, Access Control, and integrated ELV solutions. The role involves solution designing, technical presentations, Proof of Concept (POC) execution, tender support, BOQ preparation, technical documentation, and pricing coordination to support business growth.

This position acts as a bridge between Customer, Sales, OEMs, Tender Team, and Project Execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales & Solution Design

• Understand customer requirements through site visits, client meetings, and technical discussions.
• Design end-to-end solutions for:
• Enterprise Networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi)
• IT Infrastructure (Servers, Storage, Backup)
• Video Surveillance (IP CCTV, VMS, NVR)
• Access Control & Security Systems
• Structured Cabling & Integrated ELV systems
• Prepare technical solution architecture diagrams and compliance matrices.
• Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) aligned with client requirements.
• Ensure solutions comply with industry standards and OEM guidelines.

2. Technical Presentations & Client Engagement

• Deliver technical presentations and solution demonstrations to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and Proof of Concept (POC) deployments.
• Address technical queries during pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
• Provide technical clarifications and documentation during evaluation stages.
• Represent the company in client technical discussions and site surveys.

3. Tender & Proposal Support

• Assist the Tender Team in preparing:
• Technical specifications

-Compliance statements

-Solution write-ups

-Method statements

-Network diagrams

• Analyse RFP/RFQ documents and prepare technical deviation reports.
• Prepare techno-commercial comparisons and vendor evaluations.
• Support in preparing technical eligibility documentation.

4. Pricing & OEM Coordination

• Coordinate with OEMs and distributors for:

-Technical validations

-MAF (Manufacturer Authorisation Form)

-Competitive pricing

-Solution optimization

-Project specifications preparation

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with:

-Sales team for opportunity qualification

-Project team for feasibility validation

-Procurement team for vendor finalisation

-Management for solution approvals

• Ensure seamless handover to the execution team post order confirmation.

6. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including:

-Network topology diagrams

-System architecture

-Technical compliance sheets

-Product datasheets compilation

• Maintain solution repository and standard templates.
• Keep updated with latest technologies in Networking, IT & Security domain.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3–5 years of experience in system integration / IT infrastructure / ELV pre-sales.
• Experience in handling government/PSU tenders is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of CCTV, Networking, and integrated security solutions.
• Comfortable with site visits and client-facing roles.

Educational Qualification

• BE / B.Tech in ECE / EEE / IT / Computer Science

(Diploma with solid domain experience may be considered)

Salary Range: 5.0 to 6.0 Lakh CTC
