Role Description

The Sample Prep Technician is an on-site, full-time role located in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The role involves preparing geological samples for laboratory analysis by performing tasks such as crushing, pulverizing, and splitting samples as required. The technician will operate and maintain laboratory equipment, follow safety protocols, and work as part of a team to ensure the timely and precise delivery of results to clients. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining accurate records, ensuring quality standards, and supporting other lab operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of scientific principles and laboratory processes
• Proficiency in handling and preparing geological samples, including crushing and pulverizing
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment operation and maintenance
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality data
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment
• Effective communication skills to ensure clear understanding of tasks and protocols
• Prior experience in a laboratory or related field is preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or scientific training is a plus
