Principal Software Engineer - Wildfire Backend 💰 Salary: $170,000 - 277,000 per year

📝 Rquirements:

• Over 6 years of practical experience in constructing large-scale enterprise applications, including 4+ years in technical leadership roles
• Proficient in producing high-quality, scalable code using Python or Golang, including experience with asynchronous code in multi-threaded and multi-process environments
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and principles of distributed systems
• Excellent design and architecture abilities, responsible for transforming concepts into production-grade designs and overseeing end-to-end development and deployment
• Strong foundational knowledge of databases, storage solutions, and distributed persistence technologies
• Experience with databases such as SQL/NoSQL and familiarity with modern database technologies is an advantage
• Competent in performance profiling, tuning, and enhancing system performance
• Familiarity with cloud-native service development on Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or similar
• Previous experience in developing REST/gRPC API services and working with queuing systems like Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
• Experience using configuration management tools such as ArgoCD, Ansible, or Terraform is beneficial
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and troubleshooting capabilities
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Ideally, 2-3 years in a similar role would be advantageous

👩‍💻👨‍💻 Your responsibilities are:

• Spearhead the design, implementation, and scaling of our architectural framework in response to emerging challenges
• Engage in redesigning the architecture to incorporate suitable microservices for processing high volumes of sample submissions
• Foster collaboration and teamwork, ensuring effective communication and cooperation with colleagues toward shared objectives
• Contribute to driving the technical roadmap and participate actively in crafting next-generation architectures optimized for scalable solutions
• Conceptualize, design, and develop highly efficient multi-cloud microservices and data pipelines to handle significant traffic increases
• Ensure the product remains aligned with leading contemporary technologies in a swiftly changing environment
• Collaborate with DevOps and Technical Support teams to investigate and rectify critical customer issues
• Mentor and guide new team members to bolster their development and integration
