As part of our expansion and strengthening of regulatory frameworks, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead the compliance and regulatory function of the organization.

Role Overview The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all applicable RBI regulations, NBFC guidelines, internal governance policies, and statutory obligations.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with a mid-sized NBFC and possess strong expertise in RBI compliance, AML/KYC regulations, regulatory reporting, risk management, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities1. Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure adherence to RBI regulations and guidelines applicable to NBFCs.
• Monitor regulatory updates, circulars, and notifications issued by RBI and other authorities.
• Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and internal controls.
• Ensure timely filing of regulatory returns, disclosures, and compliance reports.
• RBI & Regulatory Coordination
• Act as the primary liaison with RBI and regulatory authorities.
• Handle RBI inspections, audits, notices, and compliance observations.
• Ensure proper closure of regulatory findings within prescribed timelines.
• AML / KYC / PMLA Compliance
• Oversee implementation of KYC, AML, and PMLA policies across the organization.
• Monitor customer onboarding and transaction compliance processes.
• Ensure adherence to FIU-IND reporting obligations and suspicious transaction monitoring.
• Risk Management & Internal Controls
• Identify and mitigate compliance and regulatory risks.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and internal audits.
• Strengthen internal governance and control mechanisms.
• Collaborate with business and operational teams for risk mitigation.
• Board & Management Reporting
• Prepare compliance reports and present updates to senior management and board committees.
• Advise management on regulatory and governance matters.
• Support implementation of corporate governance best practices.
• Policy & Process Development
• Draft and review internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Ensure organization-wide awareness of regulatory obligations.
• Conduct periodic compliance training sessions for employees.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
• CS / CA / LLB qualification preferred.
• Minimum 6–12 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory affairs within an NBFC or financial services organization.
• Prior experience working as CCO / Compliance Head / Senior Compliance Manager in a mid-sized NBFC preferred.
• Strong knowledge of:
• RBI regulations for NBFCs
• KYC / AML / PMLA guidelines
• FEMA regulations
• Risk and compliance frameworks
• Corporate governance practices
• Experience handling RBI inspections and regulatory audits.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
