Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health and Safety, Quality, and Training Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, compliant, and high-quality work environment while fostering continuous employee development. JOB DUTIES:
Oversee all Health and Safety & Training functions, such as:
- Monitor safety compliance and enforce safety regulations.
- Daily onsite inspections and audits to ensure that safe work practices are taking place including auditing maintenance pre starts, observing proper LOTO, observing proper working at heights, safe ladder use, and other required safe work practices.
- Serve as an active management and safety resource to our JHSC.
- Complete monthly safety inspections with supervisors, and inspections of safety equipment.
- Create and administer Safety Talks at all locations/departments.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and execute annual drills.
- Job Safety analysis that includes cognitive functions to support our goal of a psychologically safe workplace.
- Track changes in safety legislation and best practices and bring forward recommendations to owners.
- Training- organize and execute all legislative training.
- Ensure proper safety training is completed through onboarding new employees.
- Complete hands on training with new employees
- Perform competency checks annually for safety positions.
- Act as an on-floor resource for safety for all employees.
- Perform heat monitoring during the summer season.
- Perform annual reviews on the safety program with report outs to Senior Management and the JHSC.
- Monitor overall health and safety of organization – give out safety tickets for non-compliance or commend for health and safety performance.
Quality
- Check skids for quality issues
- Act as a quality resource for sales staff and employees
- Do spot checks for quality through production process to ensure compliance
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Motivated to be on the shop floor participating in safety daily.
- Knowledge of all related legislation
- Effective computer skills
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently as well as with a team
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- ·Degree, Diploma or Post-Graduate Certificate in Safety or related field an asset
- 1-3 years of hands-on safety experience.
- Previous experience working in construction, manufacturing or a quarry setting an asset.

Pay: $25.20-$27.20 per hour
