Job Title: IT Support Technician

About the position:

We are looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to join our team and help with our day-to-day IT operations in a fast-paced VFX/CG production environment. This role is primarily help desk focused, providing hands on support to users and troubleshooting systems, software, and account-related issues. You will work closely with artists, developers, and production staff to resolve technical problems, set up and configure workstations, install and update software, and maintain reliable IT systems.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring users have stable and responsive technical support whenever issues arise.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, helping others, and gaining hands-on experience in a creative production setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day helpdesk support for systems, software, and user account issues.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain workstations (Windows and/or Linux).
  • Assist in infrastructure and system support for VFX/CG content production.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access requests.
  • Document support requests and solutions clearly.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT team members when needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of IT support desk functions, including procurement and installation.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, including user/group management, policies, and authentication.
  • Familiarity with installing and supporting software applications
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting.
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role.

Nice to Have

  • Strong understanding of VFX feature film pipeline
  • Exposure to VFX, CG, or production studio environments.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
  • Experience with ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of networking, VPNs, and security protocols.
