As a Production Software Engineer at Oracle Health, you will play a critical role in providing technical support and issue resolution for our software products. Your responsibilities will involve diagnosing client-reported technical issues within a large and mature codebase while collaborating with fellow engineers, Technical Solution Analysts, IP development engineers, Product Management, and client stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting and debugging software applications, particularly in Java or C#. You should be comfortable working on Linux servers through the command line and possess a foundational understanding of SQL databases. Familiarity with tools like Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Splunk will be a significant advantage, especially in providing client-facing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the ability to obtain and maintain federal security clearance for this role, requiring U.S. citizenship.
• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
• Have 1-8 years of professional experience in programming or troubleshooting Java code (or similar languages like C++ or C#).
• Understand databases, data models, and schemas, including Oracle MySQL.
• Navigate Linux operating systems via command line effectively.
• Analyze software design and code flows for efficient issue resolution.
• Access and manage code changes through GitHub.
• Investigate and troubleshoot applications and services using JAVA and SQL databases, particularly by reviewing log files.
• Test workflows in both client-facing and internal environments.
• Compare functionalities between code levels, assess configuration settings, and review source code to identify and resolve reported issues.
• Address high-priority, high-impact issues during on-call rotations, providing 24x7 support for critical incidents.
• Contribute to Problem Management discussions with IP counterparts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in troubleshooting or developing cloud-based applications.
• Familiarity with additional Object-Oriented Programming languages.

Compensation and Benefits

The hiring range for this position starts at $33.94 to $67.88 per hour, translating to an annual salary between $70,600 and $141,200, with potential equity eligibility.
