Role : Junior Data & Growth Analyst

Location : Remote

Working Hours : Aligned with UK time zone

Language : Excellent English (verbal & written)

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data & Growth Analyst with strong analytical fundamentals and an AI-native mindset. This role sits at the intersection of product analytics, growth analytics, and commercial decision-making, helping translate product behavior into actionable business insights.

The role will work closely with product, growth, and leadership teams to analyze user behavior, identify growth opportunities, and support data-driven product and commercial strategies.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with modern analytics tools such as PostHog, SQL, Excel, and data platforms like dbt and Snowflake, while also being capable of contributing to analytical workstreams from problem definition to actionable insights with guidance from senior team members.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Analyze product usage, user behavior, and growth metrics to generate actionable insights.
  • Support connecting product behavior data (PostHog) with commercial and growth decisions including retention, conversion, engagement, and LTV signals.
  • Assist in analysis workstreams including defining problems, extracting data, performing analysis, and preparing recommendations.
  • Build and maintain repeatable reporting and insight loops including dashboards, metrics definitions, and cohort analysis.
  • Conduct analysis on product features, experiments, and launches to evaluate performance and impact.
  • Work with product and growth teams to track key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Support experimentation and measurement frameworks for product and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, QA, and careful handling of datasets.
  • Use AI tools and automation workflows to accelerate analysis and improve productivity.
  • Communicate insights through structured reports, dashboards, and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Good proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of SQL.
  • Exposure to product analytics tools (PostHog preferred) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics tools such as dbt, Snowflake, or ThoughtSpot is a plus.
  • Ability to translate data into clear insights with guidance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote, fast-paced environment and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Experience

  • 0- 2 years of experience in Data Analytics, Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, or Business Analytics roles.
  • Internship, academic projects, or early professional experience analyzing product usage data, business metrics, growth funnels, or retention metrics.
  • Exposure to event-based product telemetry data (events, funnels, cohorts) is a plus.
  • Experience in startups, analytics teams, or consulting environments is beneficial but not required.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (Claude, OpenAI, etc.) for analysis and productivity is a strong advantage.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Candidates from top institutions such as IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Madras) and BITS Pilani are strongly preferred.
  • Candidates with prior internship or experience at Big 4 firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) or consulting firms are strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills :

  • Exposure to product analytics tools such as PostHog, Mixpanel, or Amplitude.
  • Familiarity with modern data stack tools including dbt and Snowflake.
  • Understanding of growth metrics, product funnels, and cohort analysis.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Metabase, or ThoughtSpot.
  • Basic familiarity with Python for data analysis is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate analytical workflows.
