Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in media and entertainment technology, is seeking a Node.js Engineer to fulfill a long-term contract opportunity with a client based in the US.

The ideal candidate with have strong backend experience and will help build and enhance an AI-powered conversational search experience for one of the most recognized digital sports platforms in the world.

This role focuses primarily on backend development using Node.js to design and build APIs that power a chatbot-style system where users can ask sports-related questions and receive intelligent responses. The Engineer will work on integrating large language models into production applications while contributing to scalable services that support millions of users.

Apply Today If Your Background Includes:

• Up to 8+ years of professional software development experience building production applications
• Strong experience developing backend services using JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs that support consumer-facing applications
• Experience integrating AI or large language model APIs such as OpenAI into production systems
• Experience working with databases such as MongoDB and relational databases
• Experience deploying applications using containerization technologies such as Docker
• Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
• Understanding of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform
• Ability to work in collaborative engineering environments and contribute to architectural discussions
• Experience building software for large-scale consumer platforms preferred
