Senior Software Engineer

You will work on building the basis of a high-performance protection tool, improving system reliability, and contributing to the architecture of our security solution. You’ll find yourself researching and implementing cutting-edge technologies and security while writing high-quality code, including test coverage and frequent releases thanks to CI and automated build infrastructure.</p> <p><strong>Job Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Design and develop our app protection tool using Python to support our platform and products.</p> </li> <li> <p>Work on challenging architectural and performance problems, contributing to the evolution of our systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, ensuring high reliability and performance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Collaborate closely with mobile developers, backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver well-architected solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Improve the scalability, observability, and maintainability of our systems as the business grows.</p> </li> <li> <p>Contribute to technical decision-making, code reviews, and architectural discussions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Participate actively in the team’s life and help mentor other developers when needed.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of professional experience in software development with Python.</p> </li> <li> <p>Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with testing frameworks, unit testing, and test automation.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to make recommendations and technical decisions independently.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience solving architectural problems.</p> </li> <li> <p>Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).</p> </li> <li> <p>Interest or experience in IT security technologies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience on Android environment.</p> </li> <li> <p>Capacity to understand with Dalvik bytecode / smali.</p> </li> <li> <p>Java/Kotlin development experience.</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of Unix/Linux command line environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</p> </li> <li> <p>Knowledge of cryptography and/or PKI infrastructure.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset.</p> </li> <li> <p>Passion for continuous learning and improvement.</p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p></p> <h3 data-start="2927" data-end="2941">Why OneSpan</h3> <p data-start="2943" data-end="3329" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="">OneSpan offers the best of both worlds – a solid foundation that only an established global enterprise can provide, with the energy and creativity of an innovative start-up.
