Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Personal Trainer role based in Woodbridge, VA. The Personal Trainer will conduct one-on-one and small group training sessions, design customized fitness programs, and provide clear instruction on proper exercise techniques and equipment use. Responsibilities include assessing member fitness levels, tracking progress, and adjusting programs to support safe and effective results. The role also involves offering basic guidance on healthy habits, collaborating with club staff to support member engagement, and maintaining a clean, safe training environment. The Personal Trainer will represent the club’s values by fostering an inclusive, motivating atmosphere for members of all backgrounds and abilities.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to design and deliver tailored exercise programs.
- Experience with Circuit Training and Sports Coaching to support varied workouts and member goals.
- Working knowledge of Nutrition principles to provide general guidance that complements fitness plans.
- Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification (or in progress) and CPR/AED certification.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills, with a commitment to inclusivity and member safety.
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Previous experience in a gym, health club, or coaching environment is preferred.
