Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for an SG145 MCE Technician. The technician will be responsible for conducting major component exchanges, performing routine preventative maintenance, inspecting wind turbine components, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on Siemens Gamesa SG145 turbines. Daily tasks may include working with a team to execute large-scale repairs, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting service operations. Technicians will ensure compliance with industry standards and customer expectations for optimal turbine performance.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical technical skills, including diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities in wind turbine systems.
- Experience with scheduled maintenance, major component exchanges (MCE), and repair services related to wind turbines.
- Knowledge of wind turbine technologies, especially Siemens Gamesa SG145 turbine models.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform work in heights, confined spaces, or challenging conditions, following safety regulations.
- Willingness to travel or relocate, if needed, to support field operations.
- Prior industry certifications such as GWO (Global Wind Organisation) safety certifications are a plus.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required; technical training or a certification in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy fields preferred.
