Afternoon Preschool Teacher

Ohr Kodesh Early Childhood Center, located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, seeks an enthusiastic and experienced afternoon Early Childhood Educator. This energetic and creative candidate will work collaboratively with teachers and families to help build a stronger community.

Ohr Kodesh Early Childhood Center is a synagogue-based preschool that engages children, families, and educators on a journey of learning. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach and rooted in Jewish values, our educators work as a collaborative team of professionals to ensure developmentally appropriate practices in a warm, nurturing, and creative setting that ignites their students’ curiosity and wonder.

Position: Part-time afternoon educator

Hours: 12:30 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

Job Requirements

· CDA or 90 hours preferred

· Ability to write daily communications as well as weekly reflections

· Experience working in a Jewish school is preferred (Staff do not need to be Jewish, but do need to be comfortable working in a Jewish setting.)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
