QA Engineer Functional Testing & UAT Readiness

About the Role

We are looking for QA Technical Resources to support test case creation, execution, and functional validation to ensure timely progression of user stories from QA to UAT.

This role is critical in removing current delivery bottlenecks caused by limited QA bandwidth. Development and UAT capacity are already in place; the focus is on strengthening QA ownership within sprint cycles to maintain momentum and avoid delays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build, document, and maintain QA test cases aligned to user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional testing for new enhancements, fixes, and integrations.
• Validate story acceptance criteria prior to promoting stories to UAT.
• Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and UAT stakeholders to ensure readiness.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews) from a QA perspective.
• Ensure test coverage is sufficient to support sprint commitments and release timelines.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in QA / Functional Testing.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow or Salesforce or any CRM platform is highly preferred (QA testing, workflows, forms, or integrations).
• Strong experience in:
• Test case creation and execution.
• Functional and regression testing.
• Acceptance criteria validation.
• Defect tracking and test reporting.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with sprint-based delivery.
• Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of QA tasks.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across Dev, QA, and UAT teams.
• Experience with enterprise platforms (ServiceNow / Salesforce / web applications) is a strong plus.

Good to Have

• Experience supporting UAT readiness and release sign-offs.
• Familiarity with test management or defect tracking tools.
• Exposure to offshore onsite delivery models.
• Prior experience testing ServiceNow applications or modules (ITSM / HRSD / custom apps) is a plus.

Certifications:

• Any QA accreditations or certifications
