Application Support Analyst

An Application Support Analyst is essential in managing the performance and reliability of third-party application environments, focusing on security, availability, and interoperability. This role involves the administration, support, and configuration of software applications specifically in the supply chain and logistics sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain Transportation Management (TMS) and Yard Management (YMS) systems using tools like Configuration Director and Dataloader, ensuring optimal system performance.
• Carrier & Vendor Management: Manage the onboarding processes for carriers, oversee user accounts, and test configurations, including implementing Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) adjustments.
• Issue Resolution: Proactively monitor for software defects, swiftly isolating issues and delivering solutions to minimize downtime and enhance performance.
• Testing & Monitoring: Execute application software tests and respond to user inquiries, diagnosing and addressing performance challenges.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Leverage tools to collect and analyze data, identifying trends that support informed strategic decisions.
• Process Documentation: Assist with the documentation of current and future processes, ensuring clarity during system upgrades or migrations.
• Professional Development: Stay abreast of relevant technologies (TMS, WMS, ERP) and adhere to industry best practices through continuous education and training.

Essential Skills:

• System Optimization: Proficient in configuring and optimizing systems within TMS or WMS environments.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Capable of diagnosing and resolving technical issues to enhance user experience.
• Gap Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to identify necessary components for effective change strategies.
• Testing & QA: Experience in designing and executing tests to ensure applications meet specified requirements.
• Data Literacy: Proficient in executing queries and analyzing data to support reporting efforts.
• Information Security: Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive logistics data.
• Environment Management: Skilled in the installation, setup, and management of software environments, including EDI protocols.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent technical training/certification.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of relevant experience with an ability to work independently.
• Managerial Experience: Limited to none (0 to 3 months).
• Preferred Expertise: Direct experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), especially Manhattan Associates software, is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity: Knowledge in Carrier/Vendor Management, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), and ERP platforms is beneficial.

Knowledge of EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is highly desirable.
