Cogeneration Operator Role in Saskatchewan

Fortify your future as a Cogeneration Operator with Nutrien in Cory, Saskatchewan. This full-time position seeks a dedicated 2nd Class Power Engineer to manage a cogeneration facility efficiently.

In this role, you'll work under the COGEN Shift Supervisor, operating and monitoring a 228MW facility that plays a critical part in local potash production. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring water treatment efficacy, maintaining safety standards, and performing chemical control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor gas and steam turbines effectively
• Manage operations of a demineralized water treatment plant
• Assist in safe chemical deliveries and usage
• Conduct chemical analyses for monitoring systems
• Participate actively in safety meetings and protocols

Requirements

• Must possess a valid 2nd class power engineering license
• At least 5 years of relevant power engineering experience
• Familiarity with power generation technologies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
