About The Team
The role will be a part of the Systems Engineering & Solution Sales team at Nutanix. This dynamic team is made up of over 800 customer-focused technical sales professionals committed to identifying and matching technology opportunities with the business challenges of our customers. Our culture emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and a customer-first mindset as we work to deliver transformative cloud solutions. The mission of the team is to act as trusted advisors, guiding customers through their technological journeys and ensuring that our solutions align with their objectives.
You will report to the Sr. Manager of Systems Engineering, who leads with an emphasis on mentorship, empowerment, and fostering a collaborative environment. This leadership style encourages team members to share their ideas and solutions while providing support and guidance in their professional growth. The position is remote, allowing flexibility; however, you may be required to come into the office as needed, based on team activities or customer engagements.
This role entails approximately 30% travel to meet with customers, attend meetings, and participate in events as necessary. This travel will provide the opportunity to engage directly with clients, understand their needs, and foster strong working relationships, which are crucial for success in this position.
Your Role
- Demonstrate and articulate the features and benefits of Nutanix solutions to customers.
- Collaborate with sales counterparts to develop account plans and technical proposals.
- Manage complex accounts and larger sales transactions, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Conduct technical evaluations (POCs) and provide technical expertise during sales presentations.
- Build long-term relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their transformational journey.
- Collect and communicate customer feedback to enhance Nutanix offerings and support.
- Mentor and support new hires and peers within the presales team.
- Achieve specific revenue and customer engagement targets within the first year.
What You Will Bring
- 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role, including 3+ years as a Presales Engineer.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
- Hands-on technical aptitude with adaptability to market demands.
- Experience in data center and cloud technologies, including storage and virtualization.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and solution strategy development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and execute detailed action plans.
- High personal and professional ethics, with a desire for continuous learning and excellence.
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 196,000 and USD $ 294,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
