Nusite offers both in-office design consulting, material selection, project budgeting, and a wide range of on-site services, including blindside waterproofing, podium decking, traffic topping installations, roofing and restoration projects, among others.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Waterproofing & Roofing Estimator located in Toronto, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for waterproofing and roofing projects. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, analyzing drawings, consulting with clients, sourcing materials, managing budgets, and collaborating with the project management team to ensure timely project delivery. For this role, experience in the construction and waterproofing/roofing industries is recommended.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in construction, waterproofing systems, and roofing applications
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications for accurate cost estimation
• Skills in budgeting, cost analysis, and vendor management
• Excellent communication and client consultation capabilities
• Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Microsoft Excel, project estimation software, and CAD (preferred)
• Problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with building code regulations and industry standards in Ontario
• Prior experience as an estimator in the waterproofing, roofing, or construction field is an asset
• Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is considered an asset

Requirements

• Eligible CEC candidate or designation or a post secondary degree in construction management/estimating.
• 3+ years estimating experience.
• Proficient with MicroSoft Office applications, Planswift, Bluebeam and Procore.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excels in a team environment, but can also work independently.

Job Type: Full-time, Salary starting at $65,000-$90,000 plus incentives.
