ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a newly created role to support our growing SEO team.
NP Digital Canada is seeking an energetic, passionate, and strategic SEO Strategist to support the growth of our rapidly expanding Canadian business. We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record of formulating SEO recommendations and producing results.
In this role you will handle the day-to-day management of SEO accounts. You will be responsible for implementing data-backed SEO strategies to maximize campaign performance and creating and presenting client performance reports.
You will also help lead client strategy for some of NP Digital's key clients in Canada. A large portion of your time will be dedicated to client support, and deliver. However, we do want this person to have a huge passion for innovation, given that the SEO landscape is constantly shifting.
You will be responsible for ensuring that both our clients and our team's SEO strategy is working well and delivering industry-leading SEO work by identifying ways to make our SEO practice more effective and efficient, working alongside our Content Manager and SEO members.
A critical component of this role is the ability to innovate. This includes supporting the overall growth of the business, execution, providing strategic thinking, participating in thought leadership, and contributing to NPD globally with innovative thinking on SEO and GEO.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone with 4+ years of SEO experience, with a strong focus on all components of SEO and content marketing (on-page, off-page, link building, technical, e-commerce, local, international, etc.)
Last but not least, you should have a clear vision of where the SEO industry is going and contribute to developing new offerings for emerging areas.
To qualify, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Canada. Toronto-based is ideal as some light travel will be required.
ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will report directly to the SEO Director and SVP Product and be responsible for SEO strategy with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ownership and strategic direction over complex SEO campaigns with no oversight needed
- Ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, including SEO audits to identify technical issues, keyword research and mapping, metadata development, on-page and website development revisions based on performance targets and client objectives
- Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools
- Assist account managers with client communications around organic search knowledge and recommendations to develop and deliver a clear strategic vision to each client
- Assist SEO Managers in the mentorship and coaching of SEO Specialists
- Collaborate with Content team, Digital PR team and other subject matter experts as necessary to provide best in class multi-channel digital marketing services
- Contribute to the development of departmental processes and best in class deliverables and templates
- Contribute to SEO Department meetings with industry news, training & coaching opportunities, and sharing
ABOUT YOU
- Experience with analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, SEMrush, Looker Studio, STAT, BrightEdge, SEO Monitor, etc. to analyze organic search and analytics data to make specific data-driven recommendations
- 4+ Years’ experience in the organic search industry, with a minimum of 2 years personally managing SEO strategy for clients
- Full confidence and expert delivery in interfacing with clients and collaborating with other departments
- Successful & strong storytelling with data via deliverables and monthly reports
- Deals with risk and uncertainty with ease
- Understands and prioritizes what’s important
- Quickly sense what will help/hinder progress, eliminates roadblocks, and maintains focus on the big picture
- Creates or contributes to an environment where each team member feels important and can receive credit for their role in success and achievement
- Experience conducting successful SEO campaigns with large, enterprise, or Fortune 500 brands
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced SEO projects
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful SEO campaigns
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibilities
- Comfortable presenting to clients and communicating directly with client teams, including stakeholders with varied levels of SEO or digital marketing knowledge
- Strong client and team leadership qualities, comfortable contributing to company’s thought leadership on SEO industry topics
- Ability to educate and share industry knowledge with less experienced team members
- Ability to remain agile and collaborative in a constantly evolving work environment

ABOUT THE COMPENSATION
- Base Salary: CAD $90,000.00 to $100,000.00; depending on experience and skills
