Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Aerial Foreman to lead and oversee aerial construction and maintenance projects within the telecommunication and fiber optics industry. In this role, you will coordinate field crews, manage heavy equipment operations, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Your expertise will drive the successful installation, repair, and maintenance of aerial cable infrastructure, supporting the expansion of vital network services.

Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily field activities related to aerial fiber optic and telecommunication cable installation, ensuring project timelines and safety protocols are followed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, cranes, and power tools to facilitate cable installation, splicing, and maintenance tasks.
- Lead team members in climbing poles, working at heights, and using hand tools to install, repair, or upgrade network infrastructure.
- Oversee fiber splicing processes, ensuring proper connections for optimal network performance.
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams related to telephony, LAN (Local Area Network), Ethernet, WAN (Wide Area Network), and electrical systems.
- Conduct field service activities including troubleshooting network issues, cabling problems, and low voltage electrical systems.
- Maintain safety standards by enforcing proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), adhering to OSHA regulations, and conducting safety briefings.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan work schedules, resource allocation, and material logistics for efficient project execution.
- Document work progress through detailed reports, logs, and incident records; communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in field service operations within telecommunications or construction industries involving heavy equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques, cabling practices, and electrical wiring standards.
- Ability to operate bucket trucks, power tools, hand tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with schematics for network infrastructure including LANs, Ethernet connections, telephony systems, and electrical circuits.
- Physical ability to climb poles at heights using appropriate safety gear; comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience supervising field crews in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of telecommunication standards, low voltage wiring practices, and IT infrastructure components such as switches and routers is preferred.
