Sr. Enterprise Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Drive the completion of data projects and deliverables, including the execution of highly complex data solutions.
• Demonstrate best practices, processes, and standards for user story development, data analysis, architecture, modeling, design, coding, and testing.
• Lead or assist in the development, documentation, and maintenance of the enterprise data architecture and its deliverables.
• Design principles, models, and mappings for transactional and analytical systems, serving both strategic and tactical needs.
• Work closely with the business, mapping their most pressing business problems to data and analytic solutions.
• Develop data models and data transformation logic.
• Work with data engineers to implement data pipelines.
• Prototype data solutions to enable the measurement or monitoring of key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with senior management to understand data needs in support of departmental goals.
• Partner with product owners and managers in developing scope, dependencies, estimates, project plans, schedules, status reporting, and issue\/risk management.
• Become the subject matter expert in multiple data domains.
• Define company standards around data quality.
• Maximize opportunities to implement self-service to allow the business to find the data they need quickly, easily, and accurately.
• Enable the data science team to build ML models by designing and providing high-quality data.
• Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with internal and external customers.

Required Skills

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and 8 years of work experience.
• Advanced knowledge in translating business rules to technical data requirements.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Expertise in building data warehouses.
• Advanced knowledge of user story development, data warehouse design and modeling (3rd normal form and dimensional modeling), data integration design and development, and\/or performance tuning.
• Excellent skills in coordination with multiple teams for project execution and issue resolution.
• Demonstrated oral\/written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate complex technical information while inspiring and motivating others.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of work estimation, design review, code review, and data testing techniques.
• Willingness to play multiple roles for different projects, e.g., data analyst, developer, tester, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of big data platforms (e.g., Data Bricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (e.g., Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Knowledge of ETL processing tools (e.g., DBT, Databricks, Python).
• A commitment to data security and privacy.
