Cold Storage Forklift Operator

North Delta Seafoods is currently seeking a dependable and energetic High Reach Forklift Operator to join our growing warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone experienced in fast-paced distribution environments who values safety, accuracy, and efficiency

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a high reach forklift to move, locate, stack, and retrieve products within racking systems.
• Load and unload trucks efficiently while ensuring product integrity.
• Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and recording discrepancies.
• Accurately put away products into designated storage locations using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Pick and stage orders using RF scanners or pick lists to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Complete and process Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping/receiving documentation, and inventory records.
• Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Weigh materials and ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation of products.
• Maintain safe forklift operation by conducting pre-shift inspections and reporting maintenance issues.
• Follow all workplace safety policies, including working in cold/freezer environments with appropriate PPE.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized by performing daily housekeeping duties.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid High Reach Forklift Class 2 License.
• Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in food distribution or cold storage.
• Ability to work in cold/freezer conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
• Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is an asset.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and paperwork.
• Safety-focused with the ability to follow proper procedures and guidelines.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
