Director Security & Fan Experience

This is a critical role in our client’s continued success and growth. Relocation assistance will be considered for those residing outside Edmonton.

This is a unique opportunity to manage Fan experience, Security and all associated functions of a very large sporting & entertainment complex with a capacity of 20,000 spectators. Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager, you will manage and lead the Fan Experience and Security teams through all the events of this prestigious complex. You will ensure continuity across all brands and products to ensure delivery of customer expectation.

Some of the specific responsibilities will include, among others:

• Communicate effectively, build employee relationships, and provide support to all key stakeholders
• Support fellow business units through a proactive approach to meet their operational needs
• Uses professional and life experience to create new ways and build best practices
• Optimize expenditures through operating budgets monitoring including daily follow-up, annual forecast and analysis of labor costs
• Work directly with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of the Fan experience and service recovery to maintain satisfaction with all ticketed customers
• Lead the day-to-day performance objectives for direct reports, including check-ins for key priorities, timelines, and deliveries

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are seeking a highly accomplished security professional with around 12 years’ experience of which at least 3 years should have been in managing security functions of a sizeable sports/entertainment complex. Those without experience in sports/entertainment arena will not fit the bill and are requested not to apply. Rich experience in managing people with diverse roles and responsibilities, knowledge in strategic planning, and operations of large groups of employees, and strong Customer-centric approach with a dedication to leading and delivering internal and external positive experiences and collaborations are important considerations.
