Bookkeeper/Office Administrator
The Bookkeeper/Office Administrator will assist with all office duties, including financial records by handling daily transactions, processing payments, and performing other administrative tasks related to accounting and program needs. Key responsibilities include using accounting software to manage accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, and assisting with payroll. This role requires attention to detail and often involves working with both computerized and manual systems to ensure financial accuracy.
Key duties and responsibilities
· Front-office support: Greet visitors, answer phones, and manage emails and general correspondence.
· Staff and inter-departmental support: Act as a central point of contact for administrative requests from team members.
- Financial record-keeping: Maintain, and balance accounts using manual and computerized systems.
- Transaction processing: Posting journal entries, reconcile accounts, and process payments, including utility, tax, and payroll checks.
- Report preparation: Prepare financial statements and other statistical or financial reports.
- Government compliance: Assist with completing and submit tax forms and other government documents.
- Accounts payable/receivable: Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable functions and manage related invoices and payments.
- Payroll assistance: Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with related forms and documents.
Skills and qualifications
- A Business Administration Diploma/Degree or 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle complex data and meet deadlines.
- Good multitasking abilities and cognitive function for tasks like problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in office software, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
