Job Description
Worship Accompanist
The Nokesville Global Methodist Church is a Bible-centered, mission-based, community focused Christian Church. We are currently seeking a part-time Accompanist to join our ministry team. If you are proficient at playing the piano and want to join a growing vibrant church, please contact Wade Hugh for more details.
Core Christian Commitment:
· To ensure alignment with our church's mission, this position requires a personal Christian faith.
· Candidates must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He lived, died, and came back to life, and that trusting in Him is necessary for salvation.
Job Details:
· Attend weekly worship services to accompany congregational singing, choir, and soloists (10:30am – 11:00am practice, 11:00am – 12:15pm worship service)
· Attend weekly choir practice (one night per week 7:00pm – 8:30pm)
· Attend special worship services and choir rehearsals (Good Friday, Christmas Eve, etc.)
Qualifications
- Prerequisite: Active faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and necessary for salvation.
- Proficiency in piano or organ (additional instruments a plus).
- Experience directing or accompanying church or choral music is not required but is appreciated.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and lead with creativity and flexibility.
- A heart for ministry and a desire to support the spiritual life of the congregation through music.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time, approximately 3 - 5 hours per week
- Competitive pay, commensurate with experience ($11,000 - $16,000 per year)
- 2 weeks paid vacation (equivalent of 2 church services and 2 weeks of practice)
