LS Retail Technical Architect - Contract (Canada | Remote | ASAP Start)

We are seeking an experienced LS Retail Technical Architect for a contract engagement with a Canada-based client. This role requires a highly technical resource who can take ownership of the architecture, integrations, and overall technical strategy within an LS Retail and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment.

This is a hands-on architecture role ideal for someone who can lead from a technical standpoint while collaborating closely with functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and define the technical architecture for LS Retail within Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Lead system design, customizations, and integrations with third-party applications (POS, payment systems, inventory, eCommerce, etc.).
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
• Ensure best practices across performance optimization, code quality, and system scalability.
• Support solution design workshops and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and oversee deployment activities.

Qualifications

• Strong, hands-on experience with LS Retail and Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Proven experience in a Technical Architect or Senior Developer capacity.
• Deep understanding of AL development, extensions, and Business Central architecture.
• Experience designing and managing integrations (APIs, web services, middleware).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage priorities in a contract setting.
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills.
