We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, Shipping Clerk, with a passion for transportation, ideally in a food manufacturing environment, to support our growing business. Reporting directly to our Warehouse Manager, the Shipping Clerk will oversee all inbound and outbound loads, ensuring accurate and timely shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of shipping and transportation, and a passion for logistics.

• Track shipments: Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, provide timely updates, and resolve issues like delays or lost packages.
• Quality control: Conduct visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards and report any issues.
• Customer service: Communicate with customers and vendors regarding shipping inquiries, tracking, and delivery schedules.
• Issue resolution: Quickly address shipping problems such as incorrect addresses, missing items, or damaged goods.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of shipments, returns, receipts, and related expenses; update databases regularly.
• Cross‑department communication: Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to support smooth shipping operations.
• Inventory management: Keep accurate inventory records, ensure stock is organized, replenish as needed, and update inventory systems.
• Prepare documents: Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Arrange transportation: Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, couriers, and freight companies.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable working with computers and shipping software
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Experience with powered pallet jack or dock stocker operation
• Familiarity with inventory control procedures
