Health and Safety Manager Leading Corporate Wellness Initiatives

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will provide strategic direction in creating a culture of safety and employee well-being within the organization. This position requires expertise in occupational health and safety laws, as well as the ability to manage disability and wellness programs effectively. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to address workplace safety risks and enhance employee morale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health, safety, and wellness strategy
• Oversee workplace inspections and hazard assessments
• Manage WSIB claims and disability programs
• Conduct health and safety training sessions
• Lead corporate wellness initiatives and campaigns

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent in Health and Safety
• 5 years+ experience in municipal or public sector roles
• Certifications in safety management or related fields preferred
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s license required
• Proficiency in health and safety legislation
