Part Time - Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Warehouse Associate to join our team.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, processing shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Rate: Starting at $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule: 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday thru Friday (hours are negotiable at time of hire)

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments, areas or trucks.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring all items are correctly packaged.
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders.
• Perform computer functions necessary to ship and track various aspects of shipments.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and aisles clear. Sweep, dust, and mop, and handle trash removal.
• Perform pickups and deliveries to local suppliers using company vehicles.
• Assist in Return Authorization vendor repair requests, monitoring and communication.
• Light production as needed - batching, stickers, etc
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and address any discrepancies in shipments.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Clean Driving Record with valid license, required - with reliable transportation to work.
• Forklift Certification, preferred
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) as needed throughout the shift.
• Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and reach trucks safely.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately handle packages and shipments.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
