Client: U.S.-Based Medical Billing Software Company

Location: USA-Based, Onsite (EST hours; NYC strongly preferred)

Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Role Overview

NextGen Coding Company is hiring a backend-leaning Full Stack Engineer to support a regulated medical billing platform. The role requires ownership of backend services, APIs, and data integrity, with the ability to contribute to frontend work when needed. Candidates with frontend-heavy or UI-focused backgrounds will be rejected.

Strict Eligibility Requirements

• USA-based and available during Eastern Time Zone business hours
• Four-year U.S. bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution
• No undergraduate education completed outside the United States
• No international master’s-only education profiles
• NYC-based candidates strongly preferred

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications with a backend-first mindset
• Own backend services, business logic, and API layers using TypeScript, Node.js, and Python
• Design and maintain RESTful APIs with strong validation and reliability guarantees
• Ensure data integrity, validation, and consistency across services and databases
• Build and maintain frontend features using React and Next.js when required
• Implement and manage form handling and validation using React Hook Form and Zod
• Work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB for schema design, migrations, and performance optimization
• Support monorepo workflows using Turborepo and infrastructure via SST
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and environment management
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to deliver compliant, production-grade software

Backend ownership experience is mandatory. UI-only or design-heavy profiles will not be considered.

• Strong discipline around validation, error handling, and production reliability
• Comfortable operating in a small, fast-moving engineering team
