The Opportunity
This role is responsible for safeguarding the security and integrity of systems and networks by identifying relevant data, analyzing vulnerabilities and cyber threats, and developing threat profiles and detection capabilities. The position involves both predictive and reactive cyber analysis, as well as supporting cybersecurity components of system evaluations and trials. Additionally, the role may include providing technical guidance to other analysts as needed.
Key Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Accountabilities *Essential Functions)
- Maintain security and integrity of systems and networks
- Identify and acquire relevant data for analysis
- Evaluate system vulnerabilities and cyber threats
- Develop threat profiles and detection capabilities
- Conduct predictive and reactive cyber analysis
- Support cybersecurity aspects of system evaluations and trials
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May provide technical guidance to analyst
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance
- Canadian citizenship is required
Work Eligibility
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Language Requirement
- English required
- French considered an asset
Education
- High School Diploma Required
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Degree preferred
Required Skills, Experience & Abilities
- 5–10 years of professional experience in Counter UAS/UAS or autonomous systems, including evaluating systems, developing threat detection capabilities, and supporting system assessments and trials
- Experience in cybersecurity or information assurance
- Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and threat analysis
- Experience with system and data evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with network architectures and security practices
- Ability to assess and document cyber risks

Work Environment

- Regular travel to customer sites, government facilities, and industry events up to 10% of the time.
- Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and responsiveness.
- Work may occasionally be performed in secure government facilities, requiring adherence to security protocols.
- This position may involve travel to government test sites, training ranges, and operational locations, including potential OCONUS destinations for short periods of time.
- Work may be conducted in laboratory, workshop, office, and field environments with varying conditions.
- Hybrid position - working hours are generally within standard daytime hours of operation Monday – Friday
- The pay scale for this position in Ottowa, ON is $110,000 to $140,000 CAD per year based on experience and qualifications.
