Next Ride Mechanics – Ottawa

Next Ride Mechanics is a new, high-volume automotive shop focused on efficiency, quality work, and long-term growth. We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technician who can work independently, move quickly, and handle a variety of mechanical jobs with confidence.

Position Details

• Full-time
• 8-hour shifts
• 6 days per week
• Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Overtime available based on workload (optional, depending on technician availability)
• Starting at $25/hour
• Monthly performance bonus based on shop targets

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Handle brakes, oil changes, inspections, and repairs efficiently
• Conduct diagnostics, including basic electrical work
• Complete safety inspections and identify required repairs
• Manage jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• Mid-level to Licensed Technician (310S is an asset)
• Strong all-around mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Capable of working independently
• Experience with electrical diagnostics is an asset
• Valid driver’s license required

Tools

• Shop provides major equipment
• Technician must supply their own hand tools (sockets, basic tools, etc.)
