About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist / AI Engineer who is passionate about building AI-driven solutions and eager to work on real-world machine learning and generative AI problems. This role is primarily focused on AI development, with occasional involvement in data-related and software engineering tasks.

You will work closely with senior engineers and product teams to design, build, and deploy AI models and systems that power our applications.

Key Responsibilities

Core (Primary Focus – AI Development)

Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning and AI models (including NLP and Generative AI use cases)

Work on LLMs, embeddings, and semantic search applications

Build and optimize AI pipelines and inference workflows

Experiment with different models, frameworks, and techniques to improve performance

Assist in deploying AI models into production environments

Evaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy and efficiency

Secondary Responsibilities (Supporting Work)

Perform data preprocessing, cleaning, and transformation

Assist in data scraping and data collection pipelines

Support basic data engineering tasks (ETL, pipelines, data structuring)

Contribute to backend or API development for AI integration

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code

Required Skills

Core Skills

Strong foundation in Python

Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning)

Familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as:

scikit-learn

TensorFlow / PyTorch

Exposure to NLP or Generative AI concepts (LLMs, embeddings, transformers)

Understanding of data structures and algorithms (basic level)

Good to Have

Experience with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.)

Basic knowledge of vector databases (FAISS, Pinecone, etc.)

Familiarity with REST APIs and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask)

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Knowledge of SQL and basic data engineering concepts

Experience with web scraping tools (BeautifulSoup, Selenium)

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field

(or equivalent practical experience/projects)
